Residents of Cape St. George: Seasons Greetings.
We are approaching you today with a very serious matter. As you are aware, the Ambulance Service of Cape St. George is presently operated by volunteers only. For the past three months it has been a terrible struggle to fill the schedule. On December 5, 1998, we once again struggled to fill the schedule. Many of our volunteers are taking multiple shifts.
We are looking for new recruits, if any of you are interested in being a part of the Service please contact the Town Office by January 15, 1999. We are in dire need for volunteers to ensure the continuation of this important service in our area.
There will be a Public Meeting on Wednesday, January 27, 1999. The purpose of this meeting is to determine what to do wkh our Ambulance Service if we do not get enough recruits.
We are asking all RESIDENTS to please attend this PUBLIC MEETING.
If we do not get enough volunteers, we will not have a choice but let the Ambulance Service go to Lourdes or Stephenvillc. The question is what kind of a service will we have then?
