Gaspeg Exhibit
First Nation delegation in one of the wigams on exhibit

Local first Nation was given a tour of the Gaspeg Mi'kmaq interpretation centre where women were skillfully making crafts. The Gaspeg Mi'kmaq were very pleasant and friendly people and seemed to truly enjoy our visit.

A museum of very impressive artifacts was on display on the second floor, next to a room where a craft-making video is shown.

The exhibition on the back of centre includes difference exhibits of Mi'kmaw life styles throughout the seasons, including showing wigwams, tools, traps, hunting camp, and basket making. The Nefoundland delegation was very impressed. We enjoyed the tour and thanked them for their hospitality. .
