On Sunday, July 11, 2004 at 1: 00 p.m. at Margaret Bowater Park in Corner Brook, a Gathering took place under the guidance and organization of local spiritual leader Paul Pike.
Representing our Local First Nation Mi'kmaw community, Saqamaw Jasen Benwah and band member Danny Campbell attended. The gathering included prayer, feast, smoking of the peace pipe, song and blessings. It was a time of reflection and a time of reverence. A truly humbling and spiritually uplifting event.
Wela'lin to Nókumaw Paul for inviting us to this very spiritual and moving gathering.
